I'm can't wait for 'The Golden Compass' and 'St Trinnian's' for Christmas viewing. I'm going to have to bug all my friends when I get home!

I'm looking forward to catching up on all the good films I've missed over the last few years as I'd been too busy to see any. I managed to see The Queen and The Fockers but that's about it really.
I want to see some that Grace and Angel recommended - Shadowlands, Apocolypto and 'Somewhere in Time' for starters. |

I remember Somewhere in Time a good old fashioned love story

I kind of want to see both I Am Legend and The Mist. I'm a fan of the stories they're based on.

I Am Legend should be good. Although I love the Omega Man.
I Am Legend is a remake of the Omega Man released in the 70's I think. Charlton Heston playing the lead role. Virus mutates almost everyone one earth into vampires. The central character is called Neville, he isn't infected and lives out a very lonely life. I do hope that this version is closer to the book. The book I Am Legend is by a guy called Richard Mathison. It's a very good book and I'd suggest reading it before seeing the film. |

Is this the film with Will Smith as the lead?

Yes Nikki. Not sure about Will Smith playing Neville but. He can play serious roles I guess. And I do hope that this movie plays it a bit straight. It should be horrifying.
I'm hoping that it's as good as 28 Days Later. Loved that movie. The sequel was alright as well. |

I totally missed the fact that this was somehow a horror film. Don't think I'll be going to see it after all. I hate horror films. I have an overactive mind that doesn't let me sleep after watching them. |

The Mist is based on a novella by Steven King. I'm not normally a very big King fan, but The Mist was suitably claustrophobic and paranoia inducing for my tastes. (I'm a HUGE H.P. Lovecraft fan.)

Was reading that an adaption of The Cell is in pre production. Hope it gets made and is remotely close to the book.
Going to try to see Into The Wild this week sometime. Looks like a real big screen movie. I think I'll be outvoted though and have to see the new Adam Sandler movie! |
