I've been meaning to get one of these for a while and saw one today at the chemist for less than half price so bought it for only 19.99. It's a digital one HERE that checks teh pulse rate too.
With Rudo having a heart attack I asked him if he'd like me to get him one for Christmas to keep regular checks but he said no! Well, he doesn't have a choice 'cos I've bought it anyway for me and think I should check his regularly, as well as my daughter's 'cos she has heart defects too. Best to be safe than sorry!

Normal blood pressure for most adults is less than 120/80 mm Hg. Drug treatment is recommended if your blood pressure is at or above 140/90 mm Hg.

It's the bottom number that really matters. 80 and below is ideal. 90 and above is definitely high blood pressure. Exercise can and should make both numbers get high, and so does a hot shower, so don't take your bp right after exercising, showering, or even eating. Don't cross your legs. Don't take it just once...the mere apprehension over what the score will be will raise it....take it at least 3 times, a couple of minutes apart, and watch it lower.
