I want to post mine but don't want to faff around uploading it to my photobucket. How did you both post those without photobucket? |

Oh! I didn't notice the Share your Result. Thank you, Dune!
That's odd! Why is mine so slow when I have PowerSuite which I use regularly to speed up my PC?

We also have a thread here Test your bandwidth speed. Is that
different from internet speed?

Virgin Media is a cable service Julia, I doubt very much PowerSuite will do anything to speedup Internet/Bandwidth Speed which are indeed the same thing.
If you have Virgin's 2mb service your results are fine |

An awful lot depends on the test server location in relation to you and even the time of day affects server load & can give a 'false' reading - if
your readings on average approach what you are paying for then all is well. I doubt you'll ever get a reading of exactly your ISP's published speed
unless you have a direct connection to a server... in the house next door

That's a great upload speed Nevermore, generally speaking upload speeds are pretty poor even when you have a good download speed.

The time of day/server loads do bear relation to the speed of these tests. Here is another that I did a few minutes ago and a couple that I ran for a different forum a few months back. ![]() ![]()

Consistantly high upload speed there, very useful if you have an online backup service for example. Are you in the UK? it always used to be the case that we
got our best speeds when the USA slept
