Do you ever make your own greeting cards, paint pictures, do dressmaking, model-making, patchwork quilts, knit, cross stitch, calligraphy, cake decoration,
etc?

For my birthday I received this beautiful decoupage card from VirgoAnnie.
And here's one of her paintings which she gave me. Aren't they beautiful!
I personally can't draw or paint to save my life but I've always been very good at dressmaking, home decorating and upholstering. I used to make all my
own clothes and used to do dress-make for extra money as a young woman. I have made tailored suits and bridesmaid dresses for people.
I love patchwork quilts and hope to create a few to pass on to my children as family heirlooms one day. 
I'm surprised at the lack of response to this thread considering how many artistic Dittoers we have. 
for the encouragement Twink. So sorry about your FIL. I know what you
mean about heirlooms as my brother died in 2001. He was brilliant at wood carvings. I have a lovely pr of candlesticks he made for me. But the thing i treasure
most is a little brown bear that he carved the week he died. It isn't the best of his work,in fact it is poorly done, but he was on so much morphine that
week that it is incredible how he managed to do it so well. I was staying with him when he made that bear,and felt it should have been mine, but sense told me
that MSL would treasure it too.so i never mentioned it. About two yrs ago she said to me Anne that bear belongs to you,sorry i am only just giving it to you
but i couldn't part with it. I look at it every day and smile.

Anne, I remember you telling me this now. Remember that anything we are conscious of about ourselves it often hardly noticeable, if at all, by other
people. I certainly never notice it.
