One of the things he likes to do (because he sees it on you tube) is to video tape himself playing on the Wii then putting music to it. He puts up his camera stand and video tapes it. We have seen this done were it looks like it feed is directly from the TV instead of being a video recorded. Is there any way to pull the video directly from the sourves verses recording it with a camera? What is good soft ware to minipulate video? He is using window movie maker at the momment.

Posts: 6599 (16 Mar, 2009 2:57 PM) Ditto Belle Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	My son has been wanting to do something similar , except that he has been playing on Club Penguin, a website for kids, and evidently, there have been other kids who video themselves playing on there, creating a tutorial of sorts. There also are music videos that some have made with their penguin. Anyway, he videos his adventures around Club Penguin and then puts them on his computer. He really wants to post some to Youtube, but I'm not too sure about that yet. He is only 8, but maybe I am just being too overprotective.. I don't know. I was actually surprised that he has figured out how to work the camera in such a way that the videos turn out so good, and that he can upload them to the computer from the video camera by himself. Kids these days are so advanced in the technology department.

If not read it. I think our society has become ruled by fear. Yes, there is on-line preditors out there but most people are not. Then be honest with kids about what they can do that can make them a victim. My 8 year old is pretty internet savey. We are very honest about things like pictures. With the first camara we gave rule and explained why. By 8 most children understand not everyone is nice. They also most likely understand some nice people are total arses.
