If so, what was it like? Mr. Freeb had one yesterday. This was his second. The first time he did was before he had a bypass. He only lasted 7 minutes on it at the time. Yesterday (in a routine check up) he aced it in 10 minutes and could have still kept going (YAY). Anyway, it's quite a test.....fascinating to say the least how they go about it.

No, I've never had one but would love to. I guess one needs to have heart issues before GPs recommend them though? Maybe I ought to get my daughter tested. She goes for her annual cardiac clinic appointment next month so I'll ask. I wasn't sure what they are so googled and found this exercise treadmill test. Is this what it is, Freeb? I found this too from another source. An exercise ECG is an electrocardiogram that is recorded while you are exercising on a treadmill (a running machine) or on an exercise bike. If you get a chest pain or feel uncomfortable when you are being physically active, this test can help to tell if your symptoms are caused by angina, a type of pain that is usually due to coronary heart disease. If you already know you have coronary heart disease, an exercise ECG can give more information about how severe your condition is, as it lets doctors see the changes to your ECG 'wave form' while you are doing exercise. (The ECG wave form is the pattern of the rhythm of your heart.) It can also help doctors plan your treatment. If you have recently had heart surgery, an exercise ECG can help doctors decide what level of exercise you should do as part of your cardiac rehabilitation programme. Source

I was experiencing heart palpitations and they did that along with other tests. At first, I thought that it was going to be easy, but after about 5 minutes, it became quite challenging! They also made me carry around this awful monitor that was hooked up through those little sticky pad like things all over me for almost a week. Anytime that I felt a palpitation, I had to take a note of it. (By the way, those little sticky pad things are the worst.. on the couple of occasions that I have had them stuck on me, then taken off at the clinic.. I would always find a couple of them later on at home, that they missed. ) In the end, they told me that it was stress that was causing the palpitations. Great news that Mr. Freeb passed the test!

She went for her annual cardiac check a couple of weeks ago and they want her admitted before her next annual check for a "24-hour tape". That sounds like what you had done, Michelle. They also made me carry around this awful monitor that was hooked up through those little sticky pad like things all over me for almost a week.
