thank you. we usually celerbrate here wtih carnivals bbq and fireworks. kaboom!
some of us honor our war dead. it is not lost on americans that how close we are with the brits, for whom fought for our independence. we see your as our brothers in arms and best allies. really. we know as of today in a new assault agaisnt the taliban your soldiers are side by side with. thank you. may we live to see the end of this war. |

i have only seen a deep fried twinkie on a travel show. they are not found here. we do have navajo indian fry bread. that is heavenly!!! like a scone but
better.
i have seen but not tried fried spam. like it does not have enough fat in it, fried hot dog. even a deep fried frozen snicker bar. who knew! |

I now realise that Dixie isn't the American Independence Day song, but it is to me because the first time I posted a 4th July thread at Ditto, it was the song I embedded.   So here it is again, for old time's sake.

We are 233 years old!!! We watched Patriots with Mel Gibson and the late Heath Ledger.
You folks across the pond have God Save the Queen we Yanks have God Bless America! The fire works were fantastic! Our history is not has long as England and we are relatively new country, I am still in awe how the new colonists took up the King and fought to be independent. I am sure it was a hard thing to do too! |
